Work from home has increased dramatically due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with major video calling services seeing an absurd growth in the number of users.
In order to attract more people, each platform has developed and presented new features, with a single objective in mind: to improve the user experience and, consequently, to retain users.
Zoom, for example, recently released a function that allows you to pin and organize videos during a call, while Facebook Rooms received a series of new options that allow you to customize various areas of the application.
Now, it's time for Google Meet, which has also grown a lot during this period, to announce the arrival of a new feature that should help users who don't have such a quiet environment.

Noise cancellation comes to Google Meet
Google's video calling platform now allows you to activate noise cancellation in the app for Android and iOS, a very useful feature to filter out noise interference during calls. This function has been available since June for Google Meet users on desktop.
Unfortunately, there are some caveats. The first is that most voices still cannot be filtered, given that the feature is limited to keyboard sounds, doors and low volume conversations. The second is that noise cancellation is only available to users who are members of the G Suite Enterprise and G Suite Enterprise Education plans.
As for availability, some countries were in the queue, such as Spain, Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates. In any case, we believe that it shouldn't be long before Google makes the new function available in these regions.
