The "Google" app for Android and iOS is used by over 800 million people each month. Web Stories, now called Carousel of Stories by many, was made available in the United States and India and is now also available in Spain.
Web Stories now appear right when you open Google Discover, at the top of the app, helping you find the best visual content on the web, based on your interests. And, of course, there is a plan to expand Web Stories to other countries soon.

Navigating the Story Carousel is simple. When you tap on a story, you enter a full-screen experience, making the content more engaging. Tap to advance to the next page or swipe to the next story, basically the same way we do on Facebook and Instagram.
In addition to Discover, Google is showing Web Stories in Google Search results worldwide on mobile devices.

For creators and publishers, Web Stories bring more flexibility in creation, just like any other content on websites. Web Stories bring data such as monetization, hosting, sharing and adding links to stories, making the content more interactive.
Additionally, the web offers one of the biggest audiences for creators, with publishers already seeing good results, as shown in the stories.google showcase. And because Web Stories are just an extension of a website, some of the early adopters of Web Stories are displaying their stories on their homepage, social channels, newsletters, and more.
To help leverage the Web Stories ecosystem, Google has been working with a diverse group of publishers and creative tools across the US, India and Spain this year to collaborate on the product and develop its features.
