Google Stadia: Between sadness and joy

While here in Spain Google Stadia is just a dream, which, given our infrastructure, sounds more like a nightmare. Overseas, users who pre-purchased the Pro version of the device are already playing.

After Destiny 2 and Samurai Shodown, the two new games arriving next month will be Farming Simulator 19 Platinum Edition and Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, both of which are available for purchase right now. That said, even though both titles are available, the tip is simple, don't buy these games. The games listed above will arrive on December 1st on Stadia Pro. The news keeps the promise standing, at least one free title per month for Stadia Pro users.

Google Stadia: Between sadness and joy

Games now available and free for Stadia Pro users

However, not everything is rosy, after the launch of the service, one of the promises was 4K quality, 60 frames for the games available on the platform and this did not actually happen. Destiny 2 and Red Dead Redepmtion 2 for example were in the midst of quality of service comparisons.

Not to mention the latency and input lag problems seen in games where the speed of response of the controller and the action of the character (in fighting games for example) leads the user to defeat and despair.

In November, Stadia Pro members were presented with Destiny 2: The Collection and Samurai Shodown. Both excellent games. And now users will have two more to add to their library at no cost.

And for those who thought that free games would be simple, cheap on other platforms and everything else, they were wrong, because the titles already available are very well seen by the gamer public.

I just thought that TombRaider should not enter at this time as a gift to users, after all since the beginning of the service, the game was being sold for only 10 dollars. With the low price, many users bought it and now, a month later, they found out that the title will be free. Bad for whoever bought it, good for whoever held on, but Google should have thought better of it.

While the promise of free games stands firm, let's wait for all other stumbling blocks to be worked around to deliver the best user experience. What a sad thing when your chromecast 4k turns itself off by heating up too much after playing for a while. If you come to Spain, come with all these problems solved.
