A few days ago, 9to5Google released the Google App APK version 7.12. The leak ended up revealing several details of the long-awaited Pixel 2. The latest news is that the company would be working on a search widget with the possibility of being customized by the user.
The newest widget, search bar that is at the top of the smartphone screen, like any other widget, can be moved or removed from the home screen. However, starting with the next version of Android that should debut with the Pixel 2, the widget will be able to be customizable.
In the video below, we can see the changes in the search bar ranging from the Google logo, the shape of the borders can also be modified, in addition to the transparency and color.
It is worth mentioning that the respective change has not been confirmed for the next version of Android or Google App, perhaps Google is just testing the possibility for users to change the appearance of the search widget.
