Google to launch game streaming service next month

Last year, Google allowed a small group of gamers to run Assassin's Creed Odyssey for free directly from the Chrome browser. The initiative included one of the tests of Project Stream, the company's game streaming service.

The novelty of the time is that Google scheduled a conference for March 19 at the Game Developers Conference, the GDC 2019. The technology giant did not mention the topics covered, however, according to Fortune, the event will be to present the game streaming platform.

Google will launch platform to stream games

Project Stream, it seems, will operate similarly to other streaming services, that is, the user will have to pay a membership fee and will be able to enjoy on-demand games without having to download them.

Google already has a presence in mobile games, however, as of this project, the company will compete with other important companies in the sector, both in terms of consoles and PC games, and even on Steam and the Epic Games store. .

Microsoft is also developing a project similar to Google's. Named xCloud, the service aims to eliminate connection problems and allow high-budget games to be played on any device, including smartphones.

As for Google, now we have to wait and see what the company is really preparing.
