Google will do away with apps that fill the lock screen with ads

Users who have already downloaded some memory, photo editing, VPN or file manager app, probably have already come across the presence of finding the lock screen crowded with advertising. In these cases, developers took advantage of access to the device to earn extra income.

The fact in question ends up disturbing the experience of most users, as well as the excessive spending of the franchise of the owner of the device. Because of this, Google decided on Thursday (30/11) to ban once and for all in the Play Store applications that display advertising on the lock screen.

Developers, in turn, need to earn money, however, the excess of advertisements ends up harming the user experience.

"Apps that contain deceptive or interfering ads are not allowed. They may only be displayed within the app they are served. We consider ads served within your app to be part of the app. Those displayed in the app must comply with all of our policies." , said Google.

As per the new policy published by Google, unless the app has a unique lock screen function, it will no longer be possible to monetize Android space.

The new rule is already in effect and, most likely, developers will buy some time to adapt to it. The measure is very important to improve the experience of using Android.
