Bloomberg published a story saying that Google is working on blockchain-related technology for its cloud service. The novelty could be used to guarantee customers the security of data stored on the network of computer servers in the cloud, for example.
The publication also says that Google will be able to provide a version of the technology for other companies to run on their own servers, said the sources who declined to be identified.

A Google spokesperson said, "As with many new technologies, we have individuals on various teams exploring potential uses of blockchain, but it's too early to speculate on potential uses or plans."
