    Google has announced that users of the "free legacy edition" of G Suite will be required to "upgrade to a paid Google Workspace subscription" by July 1, 2022 to continue using Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and Google's suite of productivity programs (Docs, Sheets, and Slides).     As an example, if someone you know created a Google Apps account in 2008 with the domain "johnsonfamily.com" and gave multiple people a specific email address, that person will have to pay for a Google Workspace account. until July 2022.
