Master Chief on the small screen! Halo series arrives in 2022

The Halo series is near. On Wednesday, Paramount revealed that the Showtime production will launch in 24, bringing the Microsoft franchise to television. The series will be available on the Paramount streaming service.

On its official Twitter account, Paramount made a sequence of tweets revealing news to come, talking about movies, sports, news and more. Passing on information about various content, Paramount also talked about Halo, confirming that the series will arrive in 2022.

The news is certainly encouraging for fans, as well as a relief. It's really interesting to finally get a date, as the series was announced back in 2013. Filming only started in 2019, six years after it was revealed that the franchise would get a television adaptation.

Pablo Schreiber is the one who will give life to the iconic Master Chief, one of the most well-known characters in the history of video games. The actor has participated in several productions, including the series "American Gods" and "Orange is the New Black", as well as films such as "Skyscraper" and "Lair of Thieves".

Cortana, another big name on Halo, will be played by Jen Taylor. The voice actress is already the voice of the character in the franchise games, in addition to also having other works in the world of video games.

The Halo series also has other confirmed names, such as Bokeem Woodbine who will play SPARTAN Soren-066, Danny Sapani who will play Captain Jacob Keyes and Miranda Keyes who will play Jacob's daughter.

Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac and Kate Kennedy are also part of the cast.
