Gamescom 2017 is full of news, Microsoft today brought several of them. The announcement of the return of Age of Empires was greatly welcomed by fans of the series. It will be the 4th part of the AoE franchise, for computers.
Age of Empires IV will be produced by Relic Entertainment and of course by Microsoft Studios. The little that has been released has left no clues as to when it will be released. It hasn't been too long since the series got a remaster of the first Age of Empires.
In 1997, the first version of the game was released, developed by Ensemble Studios, later acquired by Microsoft.
The game will be released for Windows 10, it is not yet known when and whether there will be console versions.
