MIUI 12 now lets you control the volume of each app

Xiaomi has implemented a new feature in the Chinese beta of MIUI 12, its new proprietary interface made official in April this year. From now on, users can control the volume of each app separately, something that makes the usage experience even better, especially for those who watch a lot of videos and spend hours playing games.

This new function allows the user to adjust the sound of a particular app without affecting the others, similar to the "Mixer" in Windows. How it works is very simple: in addition to showing the general volume control after pressing the side buttons, the interface now displays an option to adjust the audio separately from the desired app.

In order for the tool to be shown, it must be manually activated in the system settings, more specifically in the area of sound and vibration adjustments. The feature can be used as follows: press one of the side buttons and tap the music icon positioned in the left corner of the screen. Once that's done, just control the audio of each application.

In addition to the new volume controller, MIUI 12 also offers several interesting new features such as "Super Wallpaper", increased privacy, virtual assistant and much more. Check out our article showing all the improvements introduced by the company.

It is worth remembering that the stable version of MIUI 12 is already available for some smartphones, such as Mi 9, Redmi K20/Mi 9T, Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9 T Pro, Mi 10 Youth, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom, Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Xiaomi will still distribute the new interface to forty more models, so the work is just beginning.
