'Ninja' Streamer Returns to Twitch After Mixer Shuts Down

'Ninja' Streamer Returns to Twitch After Mixer Shuts Down

Amazon's streaming platform Twitch announced on Thursday the return of a major game streamer, Ninja. After leaving the platform more than a year ago to broadcast on Mixer, Microsoft's streaming platform, the Pro player returns.

Tyler Blevins, better known as Ninja in the midst of game streaming, became famous when he broadcast his matches from the battle royale game Fortnite and became the streamer with the most followers on Twitch. However, when Microsoft bought Mixer in 2016 and started trying to gain market share, the company ended up attracting the player, even signing him last year. Unfortunately, however, Microsoft's Xbox division decided to shut down its Mixer streaming service in June of this year.

The power that Ninja has in the medium of streaming

Ninja, who currently has more than 15 million followers on Twitch, began his first broadcast after his return yesterday (10) with the game that is currently being a huge phenomenon, Fall Guys. Last year, the streamer received $1 million to promote EA's Apex Legendos game. This move made the game developer get 10 million entries in the first three days according to the Reuters website.

Ninja has played alongside celebrities like rappers Drake and Travis Scott, as well as having sponsorship deals with Red Bull and Uber Eats.
