Nintendo Switch will be officially launched in Spain

Five years after ending its sales in Spain, Nintendo has announced that it will soon launch its latest console in the country, the Nintendo Switch. The video game was released in 2017 and since then the only way for us Spaniards to have access to the console was through imports or resellers.

In 2015 Nintendo withdrew from Spain due to the high tax burden for imported products practiced in the country. However, as much as there are Spaniards who love Nintendo, there was no change in the decision. So, in the middle of last year, more precisely on July 16, youtuber Rodrigo Coelho made an unofficial Nintendo Direct trying to make the Japanese game developer go back, check it out below:

In August of last year, President Jair Bolsonaro approved the tax reduction, according to The Rio Times website. Maybe that's why Nintendo decided to go back and announce the coming of its console to Spain. Check below the tweet from the Nintendo of America profile revealing the arrival of the video game in the country:

"Greetings to all Spanish Nintendo fans! We are pleased to announce that #NintendoSwitch will be coming soon to Spain!"

Greetings to all the Brazilian Nintendo fans out there! We’re excited to announce that #NintendoSwitch will be coming soon to Brazil!

It is not yet known what price the Nintendo Switch will have when it arrives in Spain, but a chance for it to arrive at a more affordable price than what we currently find in the country is the assembly of the console in national territory, for example, in Manaus free zone. However, it is known that Nintendo currently manufactures its consoles in China and redistributes it to the whole world, that is, neither in the USA nor in Japan the company took the risk of producing video games, which makes the previous idea difficult to come true. , but not impossible.
