Online version of Red Dead gets first major update

Red Dead Online, the online version of the famous game Red Dead Redemption 2, has received its first major update. Among the news, daily challenges to receive more XP and gold, new "Fool's Gold" event, new fishing challenges and even the laying of the foundations for the arrival of new Showdown Modes.

In this update, the Rare Shotgun weapon was introduced and the Evans Repeater revolver will soon arrive, as well as new emotes and clothing to update the characters. PlayStation 4 players will have access to over 150 new clothing items, including variations of the serpentine-decorated Diamondback Hat, the double-coated Hartman Jacket, the Cowhide Comstock Boots, vests, gloves and more.

To top it off, Rockstar Games has tweaked some gameplay-related parameters and also improved player visibility and radar. Through the updates it will only be possible to see the closest players on the map, which will serve to control the aggressiveness of some players.

"Today the beta de Red Dead Online receives its first major batch of updates, including new gameplay options, weapons and outfits, better balance and various improvements that the community has been asking for thanks to comments made on our player feedback page," Rockstar said via its official website.

The update is available for free to all Red Dead Redemption 2 players.
