    Play the famous minigame titles from the 70's, 80's and 90's online

      There are games that have marked several generations, that have delighted children who are now adults, and remain in a nostalgic feeling that only they could provide. Until today, because it is now possible to find those same portable games that were successful in the 70's, 80's and 90's, on the Internet Archive website that recently made available a whole section with the games available to play online.

      The site offers 74 classic LCD screen games, one of the characteristics of minigames of the time, which showed very simple graphics, with the character in the foreground on a static and drawn background. The gameplay moves were pretty limited, but they were still a hit for being cheap.



      Portable consoles included the console, display, speakers and controllers in one device, which could be carried to play games anywhere. The first handheld video game was introduced by Mattel in 1976, Auto Race. Then, more devices appeared from companies like Coleco and Milton Bradley, which started with tabletop, simple tabletop and portable electronic games.

      According to the Internet Archive, the oldest handheld video game console that contained interchangeable cartridges is the Microvision Milton Bradley in 1979.

      Later, Nintendo's GameBoy would appear, the first of its line and the brand's second handheld, which competed in the market with Sega's Game Gear, Atari's Lynx and TurboExpress. However, the GameBoy was more popular.

      On the site, you can find famous Tiger Electronics games, such as Mortal Kombat and Double Dragon, and even hit movie games like Back to the Future. Other titles that were very well received by the public are also there, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Ax and Altered Beast. Some are famous to this day and have become video game legends, such as Pac-Man and Donkey Kong and even Tamagotchi.
