    Pokemon Sword & Shield receive two DLCs with new legendaries

    Today, during the latest Pokemon Direct (Live event on social media for announcements of franchise news), two expansions for Pokemon Sword & Shield were announced, including over 200 other pokemon from previous generations, new legendaries and new forms.

    The expansions are called Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. In them, new regions will also come with the right to new stories, missions, characters and legendary.

    Isle of Armor

    For the Isle of Armor, a legendary named Kufbu, which evolves into Urshifu, which in turn has two forms - Multi-Attack and Single-Attack. While Kufbu is Fighter-only, his forms are Fighter/Water and Fighter/Dark types respectively. Each of these forms also has its Gigantamax form. The expansion also brings two new rivals, Klara (Poison) for those who own the Sword version of the game, while Shield players will have Avery (Psychic) ​​as a rival. Both players will be mentored by the pokemon master Mustard, from the new region that stands out for a tropical climate, forests, beaches and caves.

    With this expansion, new Gigantamax forms from the Galar region starters also arrive. Slowpoke also receives its Galar form, the evolution of which is still unknown. However, it will be through an exclusive item on the island. Isle of Armor arrives until June 2020.

    The Crown of Tundra

    The Crown of Tundra expansion takes place in an icy and mountainous region. Standing out in this region is the new legendary Psychic/Grass-type Calyrex, apparently without Gigantamax form until then. But what's really exciting about this expansion are the new Galar forms of the three first-gen legendary birds, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos. The legendary Regis also return in this region, with two new family members. It is not yet known how the types of the legendary birds are, nor the names and types of the two new Regis. The Crown of Tundra arrives between September and November 2020, shortly after Isle of Armor.

    Regardless of the expansion, both bring pokemon from previous generations in their respective pokedex, making requests from players since it launched the Galar region, whose old pokemon were very limited. Thus, more than 200 pokemons return for the new generation. There is also a mechanic modification, where Pokemon Nest, which are boss battles against pokemon in Gigantamax form, have now converted into full group Dungeons, whose ending is a boss battle against legendaries from previous generations always in Gigantamax form. This allows the capture of all legendaries so far. It is not known, however, if there is any way to choose which Legendary will appear in the Dungeon, or if a Legendary will always appear.

    Both expansions also bring new clothes, accessories, stores, totaling more than 100 items to customize your character's appearance. This also includes new hairstyles and new hair colors.



    The price released so far is for the expansion pass, which grants access to both regions. The package costs US$ 29,99, or just over R$ 120.
