PUBG Mobile welcomes Festival Gelado, an end-of-year themed event

The mobile version of PUBG is one of the titles to receive special end-of-the-year news, joining a long list of games that somehow celebrate the special dates. PUBG Mobile is now hosting the Frozen Festival, a winter-themed event that features a unique version of the Erangel map.

As part of the update with special holiday content, the new game mode brings the cold to battle royale clashes. With the Frozen Festival, players face off on battlefields dominated by white snow, venturing across a map that features eye-catching wintry locations, themed decorations, and even snowy monuments.

Special loots and new features

The update, in addition to modifying Erangel and offering new places to discover on the map, also brings other news to the game. Frozen Festival is certainly packed with surprises and will bring new dynamics to the battle royale.

In this new event, three ice castles appear randomly across the Erangel map offering various interesting loots to players. In addition, there are also icy zones with unique combat experiences. Players even have the ability to use quick cover against enemy fire, traversing the frozen tundra to collect snowmen and chickens that serve as protection in combat.

• Slippery snowboards: A snowboard, which can be added with the backpack button, is given to all players at the start of each match. The board can be used to travel quickly and jump over obstacles.

• Thematic decoration: Decorated buildings, fireplaces and Christmas trees are some of the cosmetic novelties spread by Erangel with the event. Additionally, the flare pistol has also been updated with a festive stock.

• Special events: The Ice Cream Festival still offers several events available to its entire community.
