      Sonic Mania Plus gets release date and trailer

      The definitive edition of the Sonic Mania Plus game was released in August 2017, now, a date for its arrival on the market has finally been revealed. From July 17th, the work will be available in North America and Europe, being sold in the physical version, accompanied by a 32-page artbook, a holographic packaging and a reversible cover, which imitates the cartridges of the classic Genesis.

      SEGA, in addition to revealing a specific date for the title's arrival, released a trailer to celebrate the announcement of the news, where it reveals all the style of Sonic Mania Plus to delight players, demonstrating what the main news of the edition will be. The Sonic Mania Plus game will be the same game as last year, however, it will be possible to play with two new characters, the squirrel Ray and the armadillo Mighty, from older chapters of the franchise. In addition, a new mode has also been added that brings revamped classic scenarios, the Encore mode, which the company emphasizes will "change the way you explore levels".

      In the game it will also be possible to play with up to four other players simultaneously, in Competition and Time Attack modes. Sonic Mania is considered the best game in the series, which managed to sell over a million copies globally.

      The work was so successful that it managed to save SEGA's finances, which in the first half of 2017, saw a 14,9% increase in its revenue.

      It is worth mentioning that those who own the original game and are not interested in physical gifts can purchase the DLC with the new modes and new characters for US$ 4,99 (R$ 17). Sonic Mania Plus will cost US$ 29,99 (about R$ 104).



      Sonic Mania Plus will be released on July 17th for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
