Sony even considered remakes of Uncharted and God of War

Uncharted and God of War are two of Sony's biggest exclusive franchises. Perhaps these are indeed the main sagas of PlayStation consoles, with several releases over the years. While Uncharted appears to have wrapped up its main character's story in A Thief's End, God of War has undergone a reimagining and Kratos has returned older, wiser and still very powerful, offering players an excellent journey. However, some fans would like a return to the past, with the release of new versions of the original titles, with everything that the new generation of consoles can offer.

In a Gabbin + Games by David Jaffe, Michael Mumbauer, former head of Sony San Diego Studio, revealed more about his old work and stated that the team had been formed to develop remakes of great classics. Mumbauer stated that he liked the idea of remaking the original God of War in today's graphics.

"That's what I was looking for, and that's what the development team was put together for. I believed there was a lot of value in remaking the original God of War with the same visual fidelity that we have in games today, or who knows. remake Uncharted 1 too."

Although Michael Mumbauer has left his old job, the studio still has more than 200 employees, which could mean that in the near future one of these projects will become a reality.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered appears as a separate game on PlayStation Store

A new version of another exclusive title has been buzzing social media in recent days. This is Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, which appeared on the PlayStation Store with a title that can be purchased separately, which was not possible before. The remastered version could only be purchased through Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, which offers Peter Parker's adventure and, of course, the latest game starring Miles.

Something curious is that the remastered version appears only if searched for on the store's website, not being found if the search is performed on the console. In addition, the game still cannot actually be purchased separately, as on its page there is a notice that the title is only available in the Miles Morales package.

On the ResetEra forum, some players claimed that the US PSN indicated the price of US$ 39,99 for the remastered version, but a message said that the product was unavailable when trying to make the purchase.

Now, players will have to wait and see if this was just a mistake or if Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered will soon be available for purchase separately on PlayStation 5.
