Sony recently announced the purchase of the independent studio Insomniac Games, responsible for the development of the famous game Marvel's Spider-Man, to remain competitive in the market. However, the Japanese game developer's announcements did not stop there, and during Gamescom, which officially started yesterday, the company announced its intention to launch some of its titles for other platforms.
During an interview, president of Sony's game studios worldwide, Shawn Layden, stated that Playstation exclusive titles will still be part of the company's strategy, but some games (particularly titles developed to be played on PC) may have wider distribution.
Shawn these:
"We must support the PlayStation platform - this is non-negotiable. That said, you will see some titles in the future coming out of my studio collection that may need to lean towards a wider installed base."
- Minimum and recommended requirements to run Fortnite on PC in 2022
- Minimum requirements to play PUBG on PC
