Recently, the streaming platform Twitch was forced to ban streamer Léo "ZiGueira" Duarte for a month. The action took place on Tuesday of this week due to a hate speech by the former Rainbow Six: Siege pro player where other people's Instagram profiles were displayed during the broadcast. The information about the ban was reported by the player himself on his YouTube channel.
Léo "ZiGueira" Duarte speaks offensive words during the game broadcast and also publishes the players' Instagram profile
With Leo's temporary suspension, his Twitch channel will be inaccessible and it will not be possible to find him in the platform's searches. The reason for the penalty was due to a game of Rainbow Six: Siege on the 12th of this month, where when facing a couple of hackers, the professional player got stressed and started saying offensive words to the cheating players. As the streaming platform does not tolerate hateful conduct during broadcasts on its website, the gamer was punished.
In addition to the problematic issue of offending people on Twitch, Leo's companions discovered the hacker's profile on Instagram and the streamer, in his moment of fury, ended up without thinking about the person's profile during the broadcast. At least, Léo "ziGueira" Duarte made a video apologizing to the challengers of the match he played in. This came after players sent an email asking for the excerpt from the display where the account was shown to be removed, as well as apologizing.
