Streamer Ninja leaves Twitch on Mixer exclusivity agreement

While Twitch.tv is part of Amazon's giant monopoly, Mixer is owned by Microsoft, which is investing in the platform in hopes of getting a piece of this growing industry.

There was no information about the change, rumors point to a major exclusivity contract for Microsoft's service.

In a video, Ninja explained, "It's just me, on a different platform." And since his first game as a professional gamer was Halo, going back to Microsoft would be like coming home.

For a long time, Ninja was Twitch's biggest star, and he remained among the platform's most popular personalities. In a statement to Twitch he said:

We've loved watching Ninja on Twitch over the years and are proud of everything he's accomplished for himself and his family, and the gaming community. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
