In an investor conference, Netflix announced that the new season of The Witcher will be released on the streaming service sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. . The second season will probably follow the same path as the previous one, arriving at the end of December.


    The pandemic has affected the company's plans, delaying the release of Netflix content, according to Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and chief content officer. However, the director stated that the situation should become a little more stable and confirmed the new season of The Witcher for the fourth quarter of 2021. The You and Cobra Kai series were also mentioned by Sarandos.


    "What happened in the first part of this year was that a lot of the projects we were hoping to release earlier were delayed because of post-production delays and Covid. We think we'll be back to a more stable state in the second half of the year, certainly in the fourth quarter, when we will have new seasons of some of our most popular shows, such as The Witcher, You and Cobra Kai."
