Through Google Maps it is also possible to explore planets in the solar system

Google revealed that Google Maps has 12 more planets to explore. The novelty includes several moons scattered throughout the solar system, such as the moon Titan, which is considered the largest natural satellite of Saturn; the moon Europa, which is of Jupiter, and also the moons of Venus and Pluto.

Maps, when exploring its planets or even its moons, makes available clickable points that reveal curiosities about the planet.

To access the locations, simply click on the Google Space Maps link.

It's worth mentioning that this isn't Google's first initiative to expand Google Maps beyond Earth. In 2014, the service started to offer maps of the Moon and Mars and, since July of this year, it is also possible to follow the images of the International Space Station (ISS) through Google Street View.

The inclusion of the stars is related to the journey of the Cassini spacecraft, which was launched into space twenty years ago with the purpose of discovering the secrets of the planet Saturn and its moons. Google said that during the mission, nearly half a million images were sent back to Earth.

Through Maps, users will be able to view maps reproduced from images collected by the space mission.
