There are hundreds of players for playing music and videos available for installation on our computers, some better than others, but even though it's not the best of all, Media Player has a special place in our history with Windows.
Well, it's not the best of relationships, because the Media Player comes without some codecs for playing some video formats, which ends up complicating our life. But it's to help you solve this little problem that I write this short tutorial.
So without further ado, let's get to the steps.
1 - The first step is to download the K-Lite Codec Pack, it is a pack with several playback codecs, being practically universal. Oh, and it still accompanies Media Player Classic, despite the fact that it will probably end in some time.
2 - After downloading K-Lite Codec, start the installation process, select installation Normal and click Next.
3 - In the next step, select the Windows Media Player as the main player and click again Next.
4 - In the next windows, keep all the settings as default and just click Next, until the option install be presented. in the option of language you can choose your preferred language, by default it will be the Spanish.
5 - Now just click Finish and play those videos that didn't open with Windows Media Player before.
