    Update Chrome now! Avoid 3

Earlier this week Google released an important update for its browser, Chrome, due to the need to fix 10 errors in the Browser. Among the fixes are two vulnerabilities classified as "zero-day", that is, critical flaws that can be easily exploited by hackers. If you haven't updated Chrome yet, stop what you're doing now and make sure your browser is on the latest version available.

Check out the tweet below confirming the Chrome bug:

Your browser will probably already be up to date, as Chrome has been programmed to automatically update itself by default. However, it's possible that you haven't turned on your computer until this point since the date the update was made available, so it doesn't hurt to check that you're up to date with Google updates. Check your Chrome desktop/notebook browser to see if Chrome is at version 86.0.4240.183.

It is also important to check for updates for the mobile version of Chrome for Android. Go to the Play Store (app store for the Android operating system) and see if there is an update available for the browser, which should be at version 86.0.4240.185.

One of the identified flaws in the browser that caused the vulnerability is called CVE-2020-16009. The Threat Analysis Group (TAG), Google's security group specializing in detecting possible risks, was responsible for reporting the flaw. According to the information, the vulnerability mainly targeted the desktop version of Chrome.

Google Chrome has 3 critical ("zero-day") failures in less than 1 month

This is the third time in less than 1 month that a failure classified as "zero-day" has occurred. The first of these was on October 20th, when Google released a security patch to fix vulnerability CVE-2020-15999.
