Xiaomi has recently been dropping hints about the launch of its first e-book. Yesterday, then, its new e-reader, the MiReader, was announced for approximately US$82. Xiaomi's new device has better specifications than that offered by the competition, a goal that the manufacturer always seeks to fulfill.
MiReader is starting its production through crowdfunding, that is, its price will go up a little after the end of the incentive (from 82 to 85 dollars). The new e-reader from the Chinese gadget maker has an Android 8.1 Oreo operating system, with support for reading books, comics, documents and other materials that involve texts. Support for reading files is very generous, being able to read EPUB, PDF, DOC, TXT and more.
Xioami's new e-reader features a 6-inch E-ink HD display with 221 ppo. To help reading in poorly lit places, the device has LED light with 24 brightness levels, covering 90% of the screen with LEDs. Its internal hardware has an Allwinner B300 quad-core processor that works together with 1GB and has a storage capacity of 16GB (enough for text files).
