Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first model to receive the stable version of MIUI 12.5

Xiaomi's proprietary user interface is getting a visual overhaul, as well as various improvements and bug fixes, with the aim of contributing to a good user experience. The stable edition of the MIUI 12.5 version is expected to arrive on the brand's models by the end of this month, but interestingly we already have one contemplated.

Recently Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, promised that the final version of the user interface with the latest update will be made available to users from the 30th of April. However, this morning (13), some Mi 11 units in China have already started to receive the update notification.

As it is only expected at the end of this month, the update is now a big surprise for users. The company must have taken advantage of the March security patch update, and in tandem, released the updated edition of the user interface.

Chinese users have reported that the update package weighs 461 MB and comes under firmware code V12.5.3.0. The main changes to the system are the addition of new gestures, a new look for volume control options and other functions, improvements in processor rendering capability, bug fixes and battery-related bug fixes, and improved energy efficiency.

As far as we know so far, only units in China have received the update, and may be released to other regions of the world for a global edition soon, or only at the end of the month, as expected.
