Xiaomi Mi 11 receives update to the latest version of MIUI 12

The Mi 11 was launched last month and was the first smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer to come with MIUI 12.5, the company's own operating system and which brings a series of improvements compared to the previous firmware version. This week the device received an update via OTA (Over-The-Air) to version 12.0.22 stable and that brings a fix for the main problems reported by users.

The update has arrived to fix some problems identified in messaging apps, especially in WeChat, where the screen "freezes" and you have to restart the device for it to work again. Users also reported that in some scenarios on Weibo - a Chinese social network similar to Twitter - it is not possible to scroll the feed.

The corrections that the company has inserted are aimed at improving the usability of the Mi 11 in social networking applications. The update also improves the Xiaomi Mi 11's camera, generally improving the quality of photographs using the system's post-processing.

MIUI 12 also began to be made available for other devices, especially more expensive models. It is expected that more smartphones of the brand will receive the update to this version of the operating system soon, as Xiaomi has a history of making current versions of its firmware available even for models released a few years ago, such as the Mi 8, for example.
