    Apple announces recall for some plug adapters

      Apple Volunteer Recall and Exchange Program, guidance on AC outlet adapters designed for use primarily in Hong Kong, Singapore e United Kingdom. For in very rare cases, the affected Apple three-prong wall plug adapters can break and create a risk of electric shock if touched.

      Note that the potentially problematic adapter has no inscription on the back.

      These wall plug adapters were shipped with Mac and some iOS devices between 2003 and 2010 e were also included in the Apple World Travel Adapter Kit.


      A Apple became aware of six incidents worldwide. O recall does not affect any Apple USB power adapters.

      How customer safety is a priority, the Apple is asking customers to stop using the affected plug adapters.

      Customers should visit http://www.apple.com/support/three-prong-ac-wall-plug-adapter for details on replacing them with new adapters.


      The affected three-pin plug adapter is white, with no lettering on the internal slot where it plugs into Apple's main power adapter. See website for more details and images to identify an affected adapter.


      Kudos to Apple for recognizing and immediately opening a Recall program and changing adapters immediately identified by the lack of the inscription on the back of the same. Be sure to access the link to make sure you don't have one of these adapters.
