Apple is accused by Spotify and Deezer of committing anti-competitive practices

This isn't the first time Apple has been involved in a legal fight, is it? Everyone already knows about the immense battle in the courts between Apple and Qualcomm, in addition to the countless other lawsuits involving Apple.

However, according to information from the Financial Times, two other technology companies have filed a lawsuit in the European Union accusing Apple of using its advantageous condition to inhibit competition, in this case, Spotify and Deezer.

Spotify and Deezer say the European Union needs to create clearer rules to level the playing field.

Spotify co-founder and Deezer CEO, in a letter to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, urged them to create more objective rules to ensure a level playing field.

Spotify justifies its decision by saying that it is unfair for Apple to benefit from 30% of a subscription made through iOS. Recently, the UK shopping website Foundem signed a letter in which it also underlines that it is the European Union's obligation to regulate in a way that equals competition.

It is worth remembering that a short time ago Google was also accused of monopoly and lost the case. So far, the European Union has not commented on the case.
