Tim Cook encourages reduction in smartphone use

Tim Cook, current president of the giant Apple, during an interview with ABC News stated that he is concerned about privacy on the internet as a whole, but more specifically related to data transmitted by cell phones.

It is not new that many application companies and websites collect information from their users, but what is currently happening is the exacerbated use of data collection and misused without the user's consent. Worse still, commercially, selling data for companies to obtain information from their customers and thus change their sales strategy and achieve more communication channels.

However, it doesn't stop there, because evidently Tim wouldn't release it for free, without any interest. He said that it is in the company's interest to sell iPhones, but he doesn't want them to "use the product too much", so he amends the speech by saying that the company feels a responsibility to do something to make the use of its cell phone, iPhone, more productive for the users.

You might think that there is no harm in wanting the good of users, but for a few years now Apple has been receiving complaints from app developers that restrict the use of the smartphone. But the "apple" came to remove or restrict last year at least 11 of the 17 most downloaded screen time control apps on its store. And why? Because according to the company, they were direct competitors and performed the same service that was offered by iOS and its apps. However, there is something that was not mentioned, of course, by Apple employees: apps performed these functions even before Apple created them for your phone. So who is acting in bad faith? Come to your own conclusions for yourself.
