Apple recently started helping families find podcasts that everyone can enjoy, as well as recommending exclusive shows for kids. Through a partnership with Common Sense Media, "apple" is offering curated podcast playlist referrals for kids on the company-developed Podcasts app.
There are currently four podcast playlists available. Each contains a different theme, one with podcast recommendations made by children, another on mysteries and dramas, followed by story-based shows and finally one of Common Sense's all-time favorite picks.
Unlike other podcast streaming services such as Spotify and Amazon, Apple does not have a service or app that is exclusively aimed at children. So far, what we have are children's podcast nominations that appear in the carousel of the Podcasts app's home menu with the "Common Sense Media Picks" banner.

Apple, together with Common Sense, intends to update the podcast playlists indicated monthly, inserting content linked to cultural and historical moments, such as "Women's History Month" and "Back to School". There are also age group recommendations for podcasts.
Launch and availability
For now, curating podcasts for kids is only available to US residents. However, it is expected that the curation will soon expand to other regions in the world if it is successful among users.
