Apple Releases Beta Version of iOS and iPadOS 14.6 for Developers

iOS 14.5 came to the public recently and brought many interesting features. Despite this, the Cupertino giant is already getting ready to announce the next version of the operating system. The beta versions of iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 for developers were released by Apple this Tuesday (11).

This is already the third beta edition of this version of the system and is only available to users enrolled in the Apple Developer Center program. Compared to the last update released to the public, iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 have very few changes, only focusing on fixing bugs and other security holes, in addition to further optimizing the system.

Além disso, Apple also created the foundations for the Apple Card Family system, a feature Apple launched at the April event, which allows spouses to share an Apple Card account, splitting the credit between them. The Apple Card Family can fit a family of up to five people, with children over 13 , thus allowing parents to share this credit with their children, but with a limit on actions and full parental monitoring by the app itself.

Despite not offering any significant changes, each version of Apple OS is able to make browsing smoother and eliminate some bugs. The first two beta versions of the 14.6 edition changed the design of Apple's podcast player, as well as introducing a much simpler transition from trial to stable via the "Software Update" feature in iOS settings.

Overall, the big update is the already released iOS 14.5, but it is believed that as the beta versions come out, more features will come in. One of these expected features is the application of its new privacy rules, in addition to the possibility of completely customizing the system, such as changing Siri's voice, for example.

It is worth remembering that in addition to beta 3 of iOS and iPad OS 14.6, Apple also released watchOS 7.5, tvOS 14.6 and beta 3 of macOS Big Sur for developers. These updates don't have any major changes either, they just offer performance improvements.
