Apple's MagSafe: Jonathan Morrison and WOLF turn notification sound into music

Apple's new MagSafe charging method for iPhone 12 comes with a new sound when you connect the MagSafe charger to the back of the smartphone. YouTuber Jonathan Morrison noticed and, with a little help, took the sound and turned it into a really catchy song.

Morrison tweeted a teaser of the song, showing how the MagSafe loading sound starts, but is accompanied by other instruments. Julia Wolf, aka WOLF, retweeted Jon's tweet, saying she "flipped" when he uploaded the final version of the song.

They posted the final version of the song whose protagonist is the sound when connecting Apple's new smartphone to the wireless charger. Even the thumbnail is reminiscent of Apple's Behind the Mac video series, which adds an extra touch to the production.

    Magsafe, how does it work?

When Apple announced the iPhone 12 lineup, a new type of accessory, the MagSafe, was also introduced. Based on magnets, MagSafe accessories fit on the back of any iPhone 12 and provide special features such as charging, physical protection for your smartphone and more. Here's a quick explanation of what Apple's MagSafe is and how it works.

One change to the iPhone 12 that might not seem significant at first is the addition of a circular magnetic connection that is contained on the back of the smartphone and centered around the Apple logo.

Known as MagSafe, it allows accessories to be attached to the iPhone 12 magnetically. This solves one of the biggest problems of wireless charging. Since aligning the device with the charger is critical for faster charging, this often led to a much longer wait than would have been necessary if it was perfectly aligned. With MagSafe, magnets make alignment easy.

When the iPhone 12 approaches a MagSafe wireless charger, a guiding force will be felt, allowing for optimal placement and faster charging. MagSafe also includes technology that charges at 15 watts, twice the maximum charging power of the previous generation iPhone.

This is possible due to the added protection that has been added to the iPhone 12. The MagSafe is still compatible with existing Qi chargers, but will only charge at 7,5 Watts or less depending on the charger.
