Cashier prepares to join Apple Pay

2021 is a very good year for Apple Pay in Spain. In short, several banks and credit cards have gained compatibility with Apple's digital wallet in recent months. Among them, it is possible to mention Original, Digio, Nubank, Porto Seguro Mastercard, Inter and BTG+. Furthermore, Sodexo has already announced that it will come to Apple Pay soon.

And apparently, there's news out there! According to @PayNewsBR, Caixa should be the next institution to join Apple Pay. That's because some Caixa credit card users have come across terms and conditions when trying to add a card to Apple Pay.

The terms speak of Mastercard, Elo and Visa cards. However, for now they are only appearing for Visa cards.

Furthermore, it is still not possible to actually add the cards, even with the existence of the terms and conditions appearing. This is said, because for now, the card itself is not finalized.

    What does this mean?

The terms and conditions state that Cashier must be in contact with Apple to include your cards in Apple Pay. Currently, the institution already works with Google Pay and Samsung Pay. Despite the terms and conditions, there is still no confirmation on what day the premiere should take place.

The announcement can still take weeks or months, as in the example of American Express and Neon - who are apparently ready for the premiere, but it hasn't happened yet. Despite this, it is still good news for those who are customers of the bank and like to use digital wallets.
