Google Photos now lets you sync images with Apple Photos on iOS

After reaching the mark of 5 billion downloads on Android, Google Photos, an app developed by Google, is trying to reach iOS, the iPhone's operating system. If you have an iPhone, know that you can now sync all your Apple Photos content to Google Photos.

Even though Google Photos is present on both Android and iOS, it is difficult to use all its features on iOS. The reason for this is due to some restrictions imposed by Apple. If you've ever tried using Google Photos exclusively, you've probably found that you'll need to do some contouring with Apple Photos.

    How it works

According to the AndroidPolice website, from now on it will no longer be necessary to do this procedure to use only Google Photos. This is possible because Google Photos has changed its app to sync photos you've "liked" or saved as "favorites". See below how it works:

    • Your favorite (heart) photos in Apple Photos become favorites in Google Photos.
    • Your favorite photos (stars) in Google Photos become favorites in Apple Photos.
    • If you bookmark (star) the photos in Google Photos, the photos will have their "stars" removed in Apple Photos and vice versa.

To enable Google Photos sync on iOS, just go to "Device" > "Profile" > "Settings" > "Apple Photos" > "Toggle on". When selecting photos in Google Photos, Apple Photos will also respond in the same way after this procedure.

    Availability

For now, it is not yet known when the new functionality will be released to all devices. Stay tuned for more news!
