Today (10), during Apple's online event that took place this afternoon, the new MacBook Air was announced. Among the main innovations announced at the launch of Apple's new notebook was, as well as the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the use of the new processor based on the Arm architecture developed by the company itself, the M1. In addition, due to the energy efficiency of the new processor and low heat generation, the new MacBook Air has gained a fanless design.

According to Apple, the new MacBook Air is 3 times faster compared to the previous generation that used Intel processors. In addition, the company claims that in terms of graphics performance, its efficiency has increased by up to 5 times.

Due to its great energy efficiency, the low consumption of the new Macbook Air, even with a smaller battery than the Macbook Pro, managed to obtain a duration of 15 hours of use on the web and up to 18 hours of continuous video playback. Apple says that to provide the best possible performance for its new notebooks with M1 processors, which have Arm technology, MacOS Big Sur was developed, an operating system optimized for the new machines.
