Motorola G30 (Capri Plus) is approved by ANATEL, launch is near

Since the end of last year, the internet has been airing news about two new mid-range smartphones from Motorola that would be scheduled to be launched in the first quarter of 2021. This has gained more strength after two alleged devices were seen receiving approval from ANATEL, telecommunications regulatory body in Spain.

Last week we identified the XT2127-1 model receiving certification, which is supposed to be the Motorola Capri. Now, following the same numbering we have an official document of the model XT2129-1, indicated as Motorola G30 (Capri Plus). Both models have already been approved by the regulatory body and it seems that their launch is closer.

What to expect from the Motorola Capri Plus?

In December, this same device was seen on the pages of the German website TechnikNews, which released some information about its technical file. The Motorola Capri Plus should be announced with an HD+ resolution screen and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The Motorola Capri, the simplest model in the series, should arrive with 60 Hz.

The two devices - Motorola Capri and Capri Plus - should arrive with very similar technical specifications. Both versions are expected with the Snapdragon 460 processor, however, only the Motorola Capri has confirmation at this time. The big difference between them is that the simplest model in the series will have only one version with 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage, while the Capri Plus will have two versions: 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB.

The Capri Plus also has a better camera array, consisting of a 64-megapixel main lens, accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens, plus two 2-megapixel lenses for macro use and depth-of-field capture. For selfies, the front camera can be 13 megapixels.

Like the Motorola Capri, the Plus version appears in the documentation released by ANATEL saying that the device has two SIM inputs, and that the manufacturer will provide the charger in the box. According to the information, this is a common charger, with a basic energy power of 10W, but nothing has been revealed about the size of the battery by Anatel, however, due to the leaks, indicate 5000mAh battery.
