    According to Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young, Apple has plans to launch a new 27-inch iMac in early 2022. Apple's release schedule.

    According to Ross, the screen of the new iMac will feature mini-LED technology, thus earning the name of XDR display. According to the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, Apple is aiming to launch the new iMac in the first quarter of 2022.

    New 27" iMac screen specs

    Ross says the new 27-inch iMac's display will feature ProMotion, bringing the ability to adaptively refresh the display between 24 Hz and 120 Hz. When this information was revealed, Ross didn't say what the display's resolution would be, but the current 27" iMac has a 5K display.

    Apple already has some products with a mini-LED screen

    The new 27" iMac isn't the only one with a mini-LED display. The 12,9" iPad Pro, released earlier this year, and the new MacBook Pro (14" and 16") have a display with mini-LED Ross believes Apple will continue to use mini-LED in its next products.
