Apple, after launching its iPad Mini 4 four years ago, is expected to present its successor soon, according to new reports from Mac Otakara and DigiTimes. Last month, Bloomberg also reported that it would be possible to launch an updated iPad Mini this year.
Mac Otakara lists dimensions for the tablet that are similar to the current model, and even reports that it will continue with a Lightning and 3,5mm headphone jack combination. Apparently, the location of the rear microphone can be changed, coming to appear in the top center. This may be the only physical change reported.
On the other hand, on the inside there must be a leap in specifications. The report claims it's unclear whether the iPad mini 5 will have a Fusion A10 chip similar to the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and sixth-generation iPad, or a Fusion A10X chip in line with the 2017 iPad Pro models and Apple TV 4K. .
It is not yet evident that the iPad Mini can support the Apple Pencil.
To top it off, the new model should offer a traditional iPad experience. Thus, it should not rely on laptop accessories, but with identical physical dimensions suggest that we should not find a device completely redesigned.
