The United States police managed to arrest a gang responsible for the theft of smartphones in the United States. The Apple Store in Palo Alto, within the space of 12 hours, was robbed twice during the launch weekend of the iPhone XS and XS Max. The damage was $100.000 in stolen goods.

The Apple Store inside the Roseville Galleria last month managed to film the robbers. They took iPhones, iPads and MacBoks, totaling $20.

The robberies have taken place in several locations in recent months, affecting 19 counties. The defendants are now being charged with entering stores wearing hoodies and taking Apple merchandise. On September 25, seven suspects were arrested and registered at the Alameda County Jail. In total, police issued arrest warrants for 17 suspects in the case.

The police had to act quickly, as this type of crime has a large circulation. "Ultimately, consumers pay the cost of this hijacking of goods," the California attorney general said of the case.
