The iPhone 12 was the last smartphone released by Apple and it arrived with a jaw-dropping price tag, but that was no problem for the number of sales the device achieved - at least not in the US. The exorbitant price was for countries outside the North American market, which includes Spain, which was priced as the most expensive iPhone 12 in the world.
By way of comparison, the iPhone 11 launched in 2019 arrived in the US at a price of US$ 699. In Spain, it had its launch cost close to R$ 4.500. In the case of the iPhone 12, the difference from its predecessor increased by just $100 in the United States, while in Spain the price reached R$6.999 for the simplest version of the line, and up to R$13.999 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12 sold more than iPhone 11 in the US
Last Monday (5), Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) released the iPhone 12 line sales report in the United States. The report shows that between October and November last year, the sale of iPhones corresponded to 76% across the country's market. During the same period, but in 2019, the iPhone 11 series took over 69% of all Apple sales.
The models that sold the most during 2020 were the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Max, leaving out the iPhone 12 Mini. Compared to the other models, the Mini model hit the target of only 6% of the models sold. This just shows that the public actually got tired of the compact and small models, and prefer models with bigger screens, precisely because of the games, movies and series that are in the daily lives of people in general.

The report also points to a possible growth in sales of the iPhone 11, XR, and SE 2020 during the year 2021 as these have a more affordable price.
