      1. Moto G 100

The line moto g, especially in its early days, has always been very popular. Being responsible for the popularization of intermediate devices, the Motorola bears huge responsibility in the current conjecture where a smartphone is an integral part of humanity's day-to-day.

But over the years, several other manufacturers saw the potential of the market, and before where the moto g reigned, he became just one in a sea of in-between devices. In 2021, however, the Motorola in its tenth generation moto g, decided that it is time to regain leadership in the segment, and the moto g100, the most powerful device in the lineup ever made, is the main representative of this. Check out our review:

Although it comes in a compact box, the Motorola luckily kept the charger and a cable inside the box. It is worth mentioning that the cover of the device did not come separately in the box, it was already installed on the phone. With its 215 grams and 9,68mm thickness, the moto g100 it's a colossus. Your screen of 6,7 inches it leaves the cell phone loud, but although there was an initial strangeness with its weight, day-to-day use was great.

At the top of the screen, next to the various system notifications Android (here, present in its version 11), the selfie lenses are located in the so-called punch hole display. Discreet, after just over 10 minutes of using the device I couldn't even notice them there.

On its back, the finish that resembles glass but is actually plastic reflects blue or purple light depending on the lighting and the angle from which it is seen. It's a very beautiful effect and it leaves it looking like a premium product. On its sides, a button to activate the Google Assistant, a fingerprint sensor implanted in the lock button, and the volume controllers.

the edges of moto g100 they are rounded, which makes them comfortable, but their large size and thickness can bother those who are used to smaller cell phones. The back and sides also do not have any fingerprint protection layer, thus leaving the phone with several marks in a short time. The box, however, comes with a protective cover, which prevents this problem. The box also comes with headphones and a 20W turbo charger.

O moto g100 It has four rear cameras, with a main sensor of 64MP, an ultra wide-angle lens of 16MP, a depth sensor of 2 MP and a lens ToF. The performance in bright places from the main camera is good, with natural colors. Sometimes, however, depending on the intensity of the lighting in the place, certain slightly purple edges appear in the photos, which is annoying.

With the focus open, the image is slightly more blurred, but it captures more of the scenery.

Night mode was below expectations. There is a great loss of detail, noise in the photos is noticeable and above all the focus of the photo is very blurry. In the end, the night mode reminded me a lot of using the camera flash on older phones at night, which really wasn't something I expected.

In recordings, the same comments apply, although in night mode it appears to have less of a loss of detail, perhaps because it is constantly shifting focus. Even so, he leaves something to be desired.

the lens Ultra Wide has a very similar performance to the main camera, although the purple border problem appears much more often, depending much more on lighting to avoid its appearances — which puts this lens in a not very pleasant situation, since if it has less lighting, the quality of the photos is much lower than that taken on the main camera.

The macro lens brings a lot of detail to smaller objects.

The macro photos left me quite satisfied. From blueprints to miniature cars, the details the camera can catch are impressive. Details such as small flaws on plant leaves or decals on miniatures become noticeable without any loss. However, for a shaky person like me, the lack of an image stabilizer is lacking in the moto g100, especially in the photos Macro. These photos present in this text were the result of more than 10 attempts.

With good lighting, selfies look great.
    • Review: Moto g100 surprises with premium smartphone features
In night mode, it doesn't work very well...

On the front, a 16MP camera and an 8MP camera make selfies very beautiful and clear, if taken in environments with good lighting. Night mode is even available on the front lenses, but the result, once again, leaves something to be desired.

One of the main features of the cameras of the moto g100 is Audio Zoom. With this function, during filming, everything that the user zooms in will receive a treatment to eliminate and reduce noise, concentrating the audio to the scene in which the zoom was applied. On paper, it looks like something of a spy, but in execution, although the result is good, it is clear that it still has a lot to improve, depending a lot on the environment and the sounds that are being emitted during the filming.

Review: Moto g100 surprises with premium smartphone features

The main attraction of moto g100 is undoubtedly its processor, being one of the first cell phones launched with the Snapdragon 870 5G. Along with its 12GB of RAM, will the new Motorola cell phone impress? The answer is a resounding yes.

Testing in day-to-day activities, such as messages, notes and social networks, the cell phone demonstrates an absurd speed. At no time did I have any crashes between moving from Facebook to Twitter or even from WhatsApp to anywhere else. Its Wi-Fi connection is also fantastic, with me walking through several places in my house where the signal is usually bad on other cell phones, and still being able to use the device peacefully.

It can handle YouTube videos at 60FPS and 4K, although the Full HD+ screen cannot display that resolution. Compared to older cell phones that also have this ability to play videos, the quality on moto g100 impresses, not counting on any crashes or distortion.

In a more demanding use of the cell phone, the performance is also great. The games King Of Fighters All Star, Genshim Impact e Asphalt 9, games known for their great graphics and mobile demand, performed optimally at the highest possible qualities of them. However, in particular in Genshin impact, after about 15 minutes of playing the cell phone starts to heat up a little. Nothing too serious compared to other devices, however. The screen's 90HZ frame refresh rate also helps it to be a very good experience in all these games.

It is interesting to compare the moto g100 with the newly announced Galaxy A72 e Galaxy A52 5G, from Samsung, which out there have similar prices and which follow the same proposal: to bring the functions of the most premium lines to a non-flagship device. The devices have Snapdragon 720 e 750G, and in the Antutu benchmarks they have a score close to 340 thousand. already the moto g100with your Snapdragon 870 5G, has almost double the score in the same benchmark, reaching 660 thousand points. It's an absurd difference for cell phones in almost the same price range.

    ready for

Review: Moto g100 surprises with premium smartphone features
A interface do modo desktop do Ready For.

We recently reported here at Techlifers the technology ready for, which allows some Motorola phones to connect via a USB-C to HDMI cable to monitors and televisions, delivering a desktop experience. THE moto g100 is being released with a strong focus on this technology, including our unit for analysis accompanying the necessary cable.

The use of ready for It's simple, just connect the cable to the monitor or television and cell phone. The device will identify the connection on the spot and will open a pop-up with four options: desktop mode, game mode, TV mode and video chat mode.

O desktop mode is very similar to what the Samsung DeX does, but with the difference that it doesn't need applications to be updated to work on it. I was very impressed with how the moto g100 behaves in this mode, serving as a true portable computer, and I imagined how in a post-pandemic future, on possible trips, I won't have to leave my notebook weighing in my bags.

Already games mode ended up referring me a lot to Nintendo Switch, after all we can easily switch between playing on a TV and in a portable mode. The image of the games was very good, and connecting a bluetooth controller the experience is as if it were a console.

O TV mode seemed redundant to me, considering most televisions are smart these days. When connecting the mobile in this mode, all streaming apps become available on the screen. Thinking while writing the review, I realized that once again, when traveling, it's okay not to log into hotel televisions using my personal account.

Finally, video chat mode. Transforming the cell phone into a meeting center, the device can serve as the camera to capture the user while the other meeting participants are on the monitor or TV. This makes it much easier, leaving the image much better.

Review: Moto g100 surprises with premium smartphone features
When you connect your phone to a monitor or TV, it automatically enters Ready For mode and lets you choose one of four modes.

In the end, I believe that the main merit of Ready For is its desktop mode and chat mode. The other modes, while interesting, don't seem like something I'm going to use very often, but I understand that this can vary a lot between each user.

    Battery

O moto g100 It has a huge battery 5000mAh, which has fantastic optimization. one hour of Genshim Impact spent the same amount of battery as an hour of video on the YouTube, 11%, very impressive. With me constantly taking pictures, playing games, leaving apps open, browsing Chrome, and watching videos, the cell battery managed to last a day and a half, a pretty good metric.

It comes in the box with a 20W turbo charger, which charges the battery to 100% in about two hours, which is not a fast period but not a slow one either. It is recommended that you always remember to charge it before bed, just to make sure you have a full day.

    Conclusion

Review: Moto g100 surprises with premium smartphone features

Scared initially by its weight, after several days of testing I ended up loving the moto G100. Of course, it has its flaws, especially in the camera, but the fact is that many of the technologies available in it are only present in cell phones with much higher prices.

O ready for is also a great attraction, seeming to me to be a great application of the concept of cell phones that become mini-computers. The fact that the apps still work on it, without needing updates, helps to sell the concept.

and the processor Snapdragon 870, along with the Moto G 12's 100GB of RAM, make using your phone a fast and great experience. Considering its suggested price of BRL 3.999 — which you can buy for BRL 3.599 in cash at Submarino — my verdict is that it is a great cell phone that if you have the opportunity to buy it, go without fear.
