MIUI 12.5 was presented at the launch event of the Mi 11, Xiaomi's top-of-the-line smartphone and which was the first to receive the new version of the Chinese manufacturer's own software. This week the company announced the release of MIUI 12.5 for the Mi 10, a cell phone that hit the market in late 2019 and brought good specifications, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, for example.
In addition to the Mi 10, the Redmi K30 also received an update to the new system. The package arrives under version "MIUI V12.2.2.0".
Update to MIUI 12.5
The update is being done via OTA (Over-The-Air) in which the user receives a notification to download and install the new operating system. According to the images below, it is possible to observe that the package has only 576MB, being relatively small compared to other updates previously made available by the manufacturer.
For now, the novelty has only arrived for Chinese smartphones and there is no prediction of when - and if - Xiaomi will launch MIUI 12.5 for other countries, including Spain.
As for the new features, in this version the company only brought a few bug fixes, thus making the user experience more fluid. Leaks suggest that MIUI 12.5 will precede the MIUI 13 beta, which according to some users, will be officially made available by the brand between the months of April and May this year.
As for the stable version MIUI 13, Xiaomi is likely to introduce the new software only in the second half of the year, just as it did in the previous generation.
