    Pros of the Galaxy S20

Excellent cameras with good zoom capability

All about the Galaxy S20: Pros and cons

    Samsung Galaxy S20

The Galaxy S20 has three rear cameras. The only thing perhaps missing would be a fourth DepthVision camera, which could be useful for Live Focus portraits. Still, the cameras are perhaps the main highlight of this smartphone.

    The lenses include a 12MP, f/1.8, 26mm wide, 1/1.76", 1.8μm, Dual Pixel PDAF, OIS+64MP, f/2.0, 29mm-telephoto, 1/1.72", 0,8μm, PDAF, OIS, 1,1x optical zoom, 3x hybrid zoom + 12MP, f/2.2, 13mm-ultrawide, 1,4μm, Super Steady video triple primary camera with auto HDR, LED and AI support.

All about the Galaxy S20: Pros and cons

    Samsung Galaxy S20

Of the three phones in the S20 series, the S20 has the smallest (6,2 inches) and, consequently, the sharpest screen (563 PPI), taking advantage of 89% of aspect ratio in relation to the front. DYNAMIC AMOLED display refreshes at 120Hz; But the high refresh rate only works for full HD+ resolution.

Due to the underlying pixel matrix of AMOLED displays, these displays are sharper at 4K (compared to IPS LCD panels which are perfectly thin at 1080p). However, the 120Hz refresh rate adds a distinct premium appeal to the experience, even more so on the Galaxy S20 and OneUI.

In terms of quality, this is one of the best smartphone screens available on the market. It is HDR10 compatible and of course the smartphone has all the prerequisites to stream HD and HDR content on apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

As always, there are two color modes, Vivid and Natural. Natural mode is more color accurate, but you can use Vivid mode, which adds a little extra to the colors. Outdoor visibility is excellent.

IP 68 Water and dust resistant

The smartphone is water and dust resistant with IP 68 certification, and can handle submersion up to 1,5 meters for a limited time.

    quick unlock

    Samsung Galaxy S20

Face Unlock and fingerprint sensor provide additional security to the mobile user. Samsung is using the same small Ultrasonic sensor as the last-gen Galaxy S10 series, but the unlocking speed and accuracy have definitely improved.

    Processor not crashing

All about the Galaxy S20: Pros and cons

    Samsung Galaxy S20

The S20 has a powerful processor accompanied by 8GB of RAM, accompanied by the latest Android 10 operating system, ideal for a lag-free gaming experience and multitasking functions on the smartphone.

The Galaxy S20 has the Exynos 7 octa-core based 990nm process which is an extremely powerful chipset paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. The 5G variants of the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ start at 12GB of RAM, and are powered by the Snapdragon 865.

The One UI 2.0 software running on the S20 is based on Android 10. The interface is feature-rich, refined and very intuitive. As this is a flagship, Samsung isn't holding back any of the valuable extras like Samsung Pay and Dex support.

All the latest and most popular connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi calling, dual VoLTE are supported.

    Internet 5G

Although we still don't have operators making 5G available in Spain, this should happen in the next few years, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra is already prepared. With support for 5G networks in the sub 6GHz bands, you can use it to enjoy very fast speeds depending on your location and the network you are using.

    Contras do Galaxy S20

    No headphone jack

All about the Galaxy S20: Pros and cons

    Samsung Galaxy S20

Unfortunately, there is no 3,5mm jack for connecting headphones. Although many current smartphones do not bring this feature, the predecessor Galaxy S10 had the entry.

    Battery life is relatively short

The Samsung Galaxy S20 packs a pretty beefy 4.000mAh battery, but those who've used the smartphone say it doesn't last as long as expected.

Also, the Galaxy S20's battery life fares much worse with the display-enabled 120Hz refresh rate, about an hour and a half less than with the 60Hz refresh rate.

    slow charger

All about the Galaxy S20: Pros and cons

    Samsung Galaxy S20

Although the S20 has a 4.000mAh battery, Samsung only provides a 15W charger, which is unsatisfactory. The company should at least deliver a 25W charger, so the user can charge the smartphone a little faster.

In selfie camera software, it lacks refinement

The Selfie camera has some inconsistencies and smoothed skin tones. Face beautification is turned on by default, and it spoils selfies, especially when taken indoors.

The selfie camera is 10MP, f/2.2, 26mm wide, 1/3,2", 1,22μm, Dual Pixel PDAF front camera with Auto HDR and dual video call support.

    shared slot

Although Samsung offers the S20 user the possibility of using a memory card to expand the storage even more, this SIM slot is hybrid, that is, shared with the chip.
