Apple: Europe files lawsuit over slow iPhone case

Apple has been facing lawsuits for some time in which it is obliged to compensate damages that were generated by its infamous practices. Earlier this week, for example, an Italian body imposed a fine on Apple of 10 million euros (about US $12 million) for its misleading claims of water resistance for iPhones.

Last month, the Cupertino company agreed to pay $113 million to cover damages caused to consumers in more than 30 US states for deliberately slowing down older iPhones.

Now, a new lawsuit promises to bolster the allegations of this fraud in other countries, and at this point, a total of five consumer organizations in Belgium and Spain are planning to seek damages from the Apple brand. The new lawsuits allege that the iPhone 6, 6s, 7 and SE devices were affected by the problem caused by the company itself, and ask for compensation of at least 60 euros (about US$ 70) for each device.

In addition, it seems that other countries, such as Italy and Portugal, are also moving to open the same type of lawsuit against the company.

When Apple became aware of this, it soon promised to release an update that would solve the problem once and for all, but in contrast, the devices got worse, and the performance of the devices was considerably compromised, especially the battery.
