      Apple reveals new emojis coming to iOS 14

      Apple took advantage of World Emoji Day to launch a pack of new emojis for its users.

      The 13 new additions include symbols for the Ninja, Piñata, Bubble Tea, Dodo, Tamale. There's also the pinching hand gesture "Italian", boomerang, ninja and a coin with a 2020 denomination and a bald eagle in the middle.

      Apple is also adding symbols for the anatomical heart and lungs, as well as symbols for a beaver, transgender symbol, and bubble tea.



      Additionally, iOS 14 is expected to bring new face mask styles and color options for your Memojis, which will also be available for use as stickers in iMessage.

      The new emojis are part of a larger package that has already been included in iOS apps, see:

      • faces - smiling face with tears, masked face
      • People - Ninja, Person in tuxedo, Woman in tuxedo, Person with veil, Man with veil, Woman feeding baby, Person feeding baby, Man feeding baby, Mx. Claus, people hugging
      • Body parts - pinched fingers, anatomical heart, lungs
      • Animals - black cat, bison, mammoth, beaver, polar bear, dodo, seal, beetle, cockroach, fly, worm
      • Food - Blueberries, Olives, Peppers, Flatbread, Fondue, Bubble Tea
      • Domestic use - Potted plant, Teapot, Piñata, Magic Wand, Dolls, Sewing Needle, Mirror, Window, Actuator, Mouse Trap, Bucket, Toothbrush
      • Soft Drinks - Feather, Rock, Wood, Hut, Pickup, Skates, Knot, Coin, Boomerang, Screwdriver, Woodworking Saw, Hook, Ladder, Elevator, Tombstone, Poster, Transgender Symbol, Transgender Flag
      • VESTUARIO - Tanga Sandal, Military Helmet
      • Musical instruments - Accordion, Long Drum

      The update also introduces 55 gender and skin tone variants, as well as new gender-inclusive emojis that can be used as an alternative to gendered versions, such as veiled person, instead of the current female/male options.
