Facebook aims to increase diversity in the gaming world. The social network recently unveiled a campaign that aims to encourage more women to participate in the gaming industry.
The measure, which was called "Women in Gaming Stories", is based on a new page, in which stories of women who participate in the segment are presented, from the development sectors to the commercial area. Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's chief operating officer, says the female presence represents 23% of the current workforce.
"Games are one of the best examples of how people connect around their interests, and women have a really important part to play in this industry," Sandberg points out.

"In this industry, women also face stereotypes and prejudices that hold them back, as they do in all industries. And when they become the target of online threats, it's even harder to convince young women that this is an industry full of opportunity. ; an industry that not only values your work, but needs it," adds Facebook's COO.
To complete, the social network still intends to promote meetings and debates so that developers and those interested in the market can share their experiences.
