Galaxy S11 will possibly have a 20:9 screen aspect

Galaxy S11 will possibly have a 20:9 screen aspect

It's still too early to talk about the Galaxy S11, but leaks have already started, even if small. First, it's rumored that Samsung will begin testing the new 5x telephoto periscope in-camera for the S11, and now, thanks to a leaked HTML 5 browser test, we've got a hint of the new Galaxy S11 smartphone display.

The handset tested in the HTML 5 benchmark uses the model name SM-G416U, which is a filler that Samsung uses when testing unreleased Galaxy S models. Unsurprisingly, the smartphone in question will run on Android 10, but interestingly it will have a 20:9 display aspect, with a mark of 384x854px for the resolution listed in the benchmark.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 and Note 10 utilize 19:9 aspect displays in their lines, while other devices like the Galaxy A80 and A70 are taller with 20:9 displays. Therefore, it is an unprecedented change for Samsung's S lines, but it is not yet clear why they did it, nor if the smartphone will use pop-up front cameras.

Also remembering that no information so far is solid, Samsung can make changes until the official launch and for now no other possible specification of the device is known. In any case, the Galaxy S11 is not expected before February 2020, so it remains only to wait for the next leaks and official information until then.
